Once upon a time, Samsung would launch a new headset alongside its latest Galaxy phones, but it has not done that. That doesn't mean Gear VR is dead. Samsung has just Confirmed that Gear VR Will be supported by the Samsung Galaxy S10, which was launched a week ago.
Speaking to a News Website, Samsung spokesperson confirmed that the latest model of Gear VR will be compatible with all models of S10 which was already supported by different Samsung smartphone.
You have to only connect the Gear VR with Galaxy S10 through an adaptor, then enjoy VR experience.
Gear VR was originally designed for a smartphone with 16:9 aspect ratio but the aspect ratio of the new Galaxy S10 more than 16:9, so S10 will essentially use the same 1,280x1,440 per-eye resolution as the older galaxy phone's.
VR support will be a new feature which will be added in the long list of features of Galaxy S10.
It is possible Samsung may launch A new Gear VR which will be fully compatible with S10 and S10+.
