You don't need to download any app or there is no need to put the phone on aeroplane mode to read a WhatsApp message or WhatsApp Group message. Yes, You read it right there is way to read the message with letting the sender know also you don't have to open the group or chat conversation. 

Also, there is no need to use or download a third-party app from PlayStore or AppStore. In this article, I will tell you the steps you need to perform to read the WhatsApp message without a blue tick or read the message without opening the group or chat. No need to disable read recipient.



How to read WhatsApp message without opening the chat/group 

Perform the following steps to read the message:

1. Open Your WhatsApp on your mobile
2. Tap on ⋮  and then click on settings
3. Tap on Chats and go to Chat history(at the bottom)
4. Click on the Export chat option
5. Select the group name or person name 
(Note: if video photos gifs audio or stickers were shared in the chat then there will be a popup asking to include media or without media)
6. There will be popup to share that exported file. Select Gmail from popup for your convenience.
7. Mail the exported file to yourself.
8. Open Gmail go to sent and open the mail containing that exported file.
9. Open the Exported file and read the chats.

So, these are the simple steps by which you can read the WhatsApp message without letting the sender know or without opening the group.

As you haven't opened the group/chat there will no Blue-tick for the sender so the sender will never know that if you read the message or not.

The exported file will be in .txt format which you can open on any smartphone device.
